The founder member of this unique institution which exudes national spirit was. Dr. I.S. Koujalgi. His life history was a saga of selfless service. Leaving his mark on the sand of time Dr. Koujalgi was a legend in his own lifetime and one of the makers of modern Bidar also. Spurred by the denial of admission in the only English medium school in Bidar Dr. Koujalgi with the band of social workers started an excellent English Medium School in 1968 which was later incredulously blossomed in to Bharateeya Vidya Vardhaka Sangha – an epoch making educational institution of the first order.
It was in 1976 that Dr. Koujalgi started a high school with coworkers of social concern like Sidramappa Patil Dr. Koujalgi, Madivalappa Mudda, Naganna Jabshetty and S.G. Patil. He gave away his newly constructed building to the school and lived in a rented building later, he dedicated his own school building Gurunanak Engineering College first on rent and later on permanent basis only for the Philanthropic reasons
Dr. Koujalagi was one of the founders of Basava Mantap in Bidar and was one who invited Mallikarjun Swamiji and Linganand Swamiji to Bidar for the first time. It was he who awakened the national sprite in Bidar.
The B.V.V.Sangh started National Comp. P.U. College, during the year 1995-96 with sole intension at giving quality education and to provide an opportunity for our students to seek admissions at professional college. Accordingly the institution made a name in the dist
The management of B.V.V. Sangh considered the valuable services rendered by Dr. I.S.Koujalgi for the development of this society and named the National Comp. P.U.College as Dr. Ishwar Koujalgi National Comp. P.U. College.
Management
Dr. Rajashekhar Koujalgi, a Chip of the old block as the president, Prabhushetty Mudda as Vice President Prof. S.G. Patil as Secretary and Basawaraj Jabshetty Treasurer and other members have rendered a yeoman service to the sangha The service of founder president Shri. Sidramappa Patil is unforgettable. A special mention must be made of Prof. S.G.Patil who dedicated his entire service to the progress of the sangha.
